Correctshapers: ARIKE & OKIN – Contemporary African Heritage

ARIKE and OKIN are complementary fashion collections created by Correctshapers, a contemporary design label founded by Victor Alao. Together, the collections explore how African cultural heritage and modern design can coexist within global contemporary fashion.

The ARIKE Collection focuses on contemporary menswear and unisex garments inspired by urban African lifestyles and the structural language of workwear and streetwear. The OKIN Collection explores feminine identity, colour, and cultural expression through the use of traditional handwoven Aso Oke textiles sourced from Oyo State, Nigeria. Inspired by the Okin bird, a Yoruba symbol of beauty, vibrancy, and confidence, the collection celebrates African elegance through expressive patterns, structured silhouettes, and contemporary tailoring.
